Hamsa

The Hamsa hand is an old and prominent Jewish motif that can be found almost everywhere.  Many people display it in their homes or wear it as an amulet to ward off evil.  The Hamsa hand is said to have magical powers; it is believed to protect and shield against the evil eye.  According to tradition, the Hamsa hand is also believed to bless the ones who own it with good fortune and success.
